Snow geese are most prevalent in Colorado during winter and migration. specifically in Colorado, the big numbers occur along the eastern plains. The two best areas are Reservoirs like Pruitt, Jackson, and Jumbo along Highway I-76 and Reservoirs like John Marton, Neesoshee, Neeskah, Neegronda, and Neeospah along Highway 50 and 400.

Range throughout the year

Snow Geese can be found during summer in the eastern reservoirs and rarely in the front range and the Rockies though the only reliable spot to find them is Jumbo Reservoir, specifically the Sedgewick side. This population that’s there is part of the US population that stays here instead of heading to there breeding grounds in northern Canada.
